The Federal Reserve on the Golf Course

Yesterday, I was standing on the tee of the short par 3 17th of the Talon course at Grayhawk Golf Club here in Scottsdale, Arizona, watching the corporate jets coming into land at nearby Scottsdale Airport. I remarked to my two male playing companions (my wife was our fourth playing partner and she had moved up to her tee), that “you’d never know that there was an economic depression in the United States given the number of corporate jets landing and taking off out of Scottsdale airport.” To which one of my companions replied that the Wall Street bankers had essentially bankrupted the American middle class, while they themselves had grown rich and could afford such luxuries as private airplanes. “Yes”, I replied, “it helps when you own and control the Federal Reserve.” They couldn’t believe that the Federal Reserve was owned by a banking consortium. “Yes,” I told them “and that consortium is itself controlled by the Rothschilds.” That assertion seemed to make them angry, so I decided to drop the subject by advising them that they should Google and see for themselves that the Federal Reserve was not owned by the United States government as they believed.
I might have encouraged them to read Edward Griffin’s book, The creature from Jekyll Island or Eustace Mullins’ book The Secrets of the Federal Reserve or Google Congressman Louis McFadden, who was the Ron Paul of the 1930s, and read his speeches presented in the House at that time, but they no longer had any interest in the subject. Did they think that my reference to the Rothschilds as leaders of the bank owners of the Federal Reserve was just too far-fetched?

I read “The Creature” about 3 years ago and it changed the way I look at the system and how I invest. I was buying gold and silver about 2 years before that but now I really understood why. Your experience on the gold course is typical as I have had countless similar experiences trying to convince family and friends to smarten up. To no avail. I compare this to an ostrich sticking his head in the sand. Everybody thinks we will be just fine.
